    • A delicate Georgian amethyst and seed pearl cluster ring dating to around 1830, crafted in warm rosy gold and set with richly coloured foiled amethysts in a floral arrangement.

The ring is formed as a central oval amethyst cluster surrounded by further circular amethysts, divided by small seed pearls which add contrast and softness to the design. The shoulders retain elegant split detailing, a characteristic feature of late Georgian rings.

The amethysts are closed-back and foiled; a traditional 19th century technique in which reflective foil was placed beneath the stones to intensify colour and luminosity in candlelight. This was standard practice in fine jewellery of the period and contributes greatly to the ring’s rich appearance.

Its low profile and finely balanced proportions make it especially wearable today, while retaining the lightness and delicacy associated with early 19th century sentimental and floral jewellery.

      Size: UK M 1/2 / US 6.5
      Weight: 1.94g
Unmarked; tests as approximately 9K gold

In good antique condition overall, with light age-related wear consistent with use. The stones remain secure and the floral arrangement displays beautifully on the hand.
