A lovely dainty piece of Victorian 19th century jewellery circa 1880 featuring a carved sardonyx gemstone in the shape of a shield. The sardonyx can be engraved with initials or a family crest, but is equally as interesting left as is. It is set within an 18K yellow gold mount which features weave-work around the bezel and crosshatching to the band.
