A striking 19th century French bangle, crafted in solid 18K gold and set with a vibrant row of rubies framed by rose-cut diamonds. The gemstones are mounted in open-backed settings, allowing light to pass through and enhancing their brilliance—an uncommon and desirable feature in Victorian jewellery.The bangle is set with 29 rubies, each measuring approximately 2 x 2.5 x 1 mm, displaying a vivid pinkish-red hue. These are bordered by two rows of antique rose-cut diamonds, each around 1.5 mm in diameter, their irregular faceting lending a gentle, candlelit sparkle.The structure is elegantly curved, with softly tapering shoulders and a triple band. The interior is stamped with the French owl control mark, indicating a minimum gold fineness of 18K.
