A late 19th-century magnifying glass locket, c. 1880. Crafted in 18K gold with two convex glass panels, possibly used to frame miniature photographs but can be used to hold a range of personal items from flowers to locks of hair and mementos.Features a decorative beaded gold rim and circular form, 2.9cm in diameter.Weighs 5.11g. Unmarked but tests as 18K gold and glass.The glass is lightly scratched, consistent with age, but overall the piece remains full of charm—reminiscent of a "pool of light" pendant.
