A beautiful French necklace dating from around 1840, crafted in 18K gold and set with seed pearls and a small central diamond. The main plaque features black enamel detailing and a heart-shaped drop, both decorated with pearl clusters.The necklace bears a French maker’s lozenge mark and tests as 18K gold.It measures 50cm (20 inches) in length, with the central element 3cm across and 3cm long including the drop. Weight: 6.2g.In good condition with no losses to the enamel—a rare early example of sentimental French jewellery.
