An exquisite late 19th-century Dutch brooch, intricately set with over 100 rose-cut diamonds. The design centres around a large diamond measuring 6mm across, surrounded by a floral cluster of countless smaller stones, all enhancing its stunning presence. Each diamond is rubover set in silver with a foil-backing for enhanced sparkle.

The brooch is crafted in solid 14K yellow gold, with a thin layer of silver on the outer side, a technique often used to accentuate the brightness of the diamonds in the 18th and 19th centuries. The reverse is equally captivating, adorned with intricate floral engravings. A Dutch ‘leaf’ hallmark for 14K gold is present, affirming its quality and origin.

Measuring 3.2cm by 2.2cm and weighing a good 9.2 grams, this brooch is in superb condition, with all stones securely set and a well-functioning clasp. A remarkable piece of late 19th-century craftsmanship, rich in sparkle and history.

Conditions: Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. All items are to be returned in their original condition and packaging. Buyer damaged items and items bought on layaway are ineligible for returns. Items over £2500 can be returned for store credit only.
