Shipping policy
At Ravensbury Antiques, we are pleased to offer free worldwide shipping on all our orders. We dispatch all items via a secure and trackable delivery service providing full insurance for your item.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email after purchase with your tracking number so that you know your order is on its way. We endeavour to dispatch within one working day after payment has been received or on the same day where possible.
Domestic Shipping:
For UK delivery, we send with Royal Mail Guaranteed 1pm Special Delivery, arriving by the next working day.
US Shipping & Tariffs:
For customers in the United States, US tariffs are handled separately by Ravensbury.
- All US orders are shipped via DHL Express and arrive Delivered Duty Paid (DDP).

We cover all applicable US import tariffs and related clearance fees - no extra charges on delivery.
- Typical US delivery time is 1–2 business days once dispatched. Shipping is
free for all customers.

This US tariff coverage applies only to shipments to US addresses and is separate from the general customs and duties guidance below.
International Shipping (EU and Rest of World):
- For International orders over £1000 we use DHL Express International (1-3 business days*).
- For international orders under £1000 we use Royal Mail International Tracked (5-10 business days*).
- Shipping upgrades to DHL Express for orders under £1000 are available at an additional cost of just £30.
*These are estimates only and delivery time can vary slightly
Customs and Duties (Other Destinations):
Payment of any customs, duties, fees or import taxes is the responsibility of the buyer, as are any return shipping costs. In many countries, import tax/duty does not apply when purchasing antiques aged over 100 years. We will therefore declare relevant items as “antique over 100 years old” with HS commodity code 9706900000.
Duties and taxes are determined by the customs agency of your home country and are based on the value of your order and the taxable threshold for the destination country. We are not able to determine these fees for you as they differ in each country. Your country’s customs website or local customs office will provide the relevant rates. Please let us know if you are contacted by customs requesting supporting documents.
Please note:
We are unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched and deliveries will require a signature on delivery therefore it is not possible to deliver to a PO Box address.
We are unable to ship to the following places: Bangladesh (BD), Burma (MM), Central African Republic (CF), Comoros (KM), Cuba (CU), Equatorial Guinea (GQ), Falkland Islands (FK), Guinea Bissau (GW), India- IN), Iran (IR), North (North Korea) (NP), Pakistan (PK), Russia (RU), Sierra Leone (SL), Somalia (SO), Sri Lanka (LK), Sudan (SD), Tajikistan (TJ), Turkmenistan (TM), Ukraine (UK).
