    • This unusual silver monogram ring dates from the turn of the century, circa 1900 and was probably made in Germany. The bezel displays a monogram, in gold, of the initials ‘WW’ or ‘MM’ depending on which way around it’s worn.

The monogram and background are both engraved with linear incisions for dramatic effect and are typical of monograms of the period. The shoulders are decorated with applied gold tulip motifs which lead to a smooth, tapering silver shank.

UK ring size L, US size 5.75

The ring is unmarked but tests as high-grade silver, and weighs a total of 6.15 grams. The bezel measures 25mm x 12mm.

It is is in good condition, and is a fine example of late Victorian to early Edwardian era monogram rings.
