    • This exceptional Georgian cluster ring dates to around 1800 and is set with rare Peruzzi-cut diamonds, a highly sought-after and distinctive early diamond cut. These three cushion-cut diamonds are arranged in a floral cluster design, accented with two natural rubies, all mounted in silver over 18K gold.

The diamonds are set in closed-back, foil-backed settings, a technique characteristic of 18th-century jewellery, designed to enhance the brilliance of the stones. The Peruzzi cut, named after the Venetian lapidary Vincenzo Peruzzi, became popular throughout Europe from the late 17th century, known for its deep, antique facets that capture candlelight beautifully.

The ring is in very good condition, with all stones securely set. It is a UK size L (US size 5.75) and weighs 3.12 grams. The total diamond weight is approximately 1.85 carats. Given the delicate, foil-backed settings, this piece should be worn with care to avoid regular exposure to water.

A truly rare and beautiful example of Georgian craftsmanship, showcasing the unmistakable allure of antique diamonds.
