    • A highly refined French bracelet from the late 19th century, crafted in 18K gold and set with a delicate pink topaz and rose-cut diamonds in silver-topped gold settings. Dating to around 1880, this bracelet exemplifies the elegance of the Belle Époque era while offering unusual design flourishes that set it apart.

The centrepiece features an oval-cut 1.84ct pink topaz of exceptional clarity and soft lilac hue, measuring approximately 10 x 7 x 4 mm. It is delicately claw-set in a manner that allows light to circulate freely beneath the stone, creating a subtle floating effect. Surrounding the topaz are ornate silver collet settings, each holding a rose-cut diamond. The overall motif resembles a stylised fleur-de-lys, adding a distinctly French character to the design.

The bracelet itself comprises an unusual and beautifully constructed series of interlinked gold loops, reminiscent of rope and buoy motifs, possibly alluding to maritime themes. Each component is articulated and weighty, contributing to the piece’s excellent drape and wearability.

The total weight is a substantial 14.64 grams, and the bracelet measures 18 cm in length. The box clasp is fully functional and bears French control marks for 18K gold and silver: the eagle's head (for 18K gold, in use since 1838) as well as the rhinoceros head hallmark. All stones are set in open-backed settings, allowing for light reflection and ease of cleaning.

Despite its age, this bracelet remains in exceptional condition. It would have likely been a special commission, given the quality of workmanship and the rarity of pink topaz in jewellery of the period.

      Condition:
Exceptional antique condition. Stones secure, clasp firm, minimal wear.
