This striking antique single-stone ring was made in London and dates to 1890. It is crafted in 18K gold and set with an octagonal step cut green paste in a pronged setting. The stone is a wonderful vivid green colour and sits majestically in the unusual mount. The bezel is accented with black enamel, which contrasts with the paste beautifully. The shoulders are decorated with a fluted design which terminates in a smooth semi-circular shank.
The interior of the band carries English hallmarks for London, the year 1890, as well as the makers mark ‘W.W.’.
