    • This striking vintage signet ring was crafted in London in 1979 by Slade & Kempton, renowned manufacturing goldsmiths and jewellers based in Benjamin Street. Made from 9K gold, the ring features exquisite repoussé work—a decorative metalworking technique where the design is raised in relief by hammering from the reverse side.

The ring is set with a polished bloodstone cabochon, a heliotrope gemstone known for its striking contrast of bright red specks against a deep green background. Often referred to as the ‘stone of courage,’ bloodstone has been associated with protection and bravery throughout history, even believed to stop bleeding wounds when worn by warriors in battle.

Weighing 5.29 grams, the ring is a UK size K (US size 5.25), ideal as a gentleman’s pinky ring. The bloodstone measures 15 x 12 mm, while the band is 2.5 mm wide, ensuring both comfort and durability.

A fine example of late 20th-century craftsmanship, this ring remains in excellent condition, with the bloodstone securely set and the gold retaining its warm, polished finish. Whether worn for its symbolism, historical charm, or bold design, this signet ring is an enduring testament to skilled craftsmanship.
