    • This stunning gold ring was made in France and dates from the late 19th century. In the centre rests a bezel set and open-backed natural emerald with a fantastic hue and deep green saturation (probably of Colombian origin). The 0.44ct step-cut emerald is surrounded on each side by a sparkling old mine cut diamond. The rococo swirled shoulders lead to a smooth D-shaped band.

      UK size M 1/2, US size 6.5

The ring weighs 2.02g, it is unmarked but test as 18K gold.

Emerald measures 4mm x 5mm x 3.5mm, diamonds measure approx 2.5mm in diameter. The ring is in good and wearable antique condition. The emerald has some black chromite inclusions as visible in the photos.

A real beauty from a bygone era!
