    • An unusually striking French ring from the late 19th century, set with a rose-cut diamond in a highly sculptural enamelled mount.

At the centre sits a foil-backed rose-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.4 carats, set in a closed-back bezel. Surrounding it is a dramatic sunburst design of gold rays and upright enamelled pillars—each tipped with glossy black enamel that catches the light in stark contrast to the softly faceted diamond.

The shoulders are equally distinctive, shaped as miniature architectural columns with black enamel detailing echoing the bezel's design. Though compact, the ring is rich in presence and unusual in its decorative approach, combining neo-Gothic and late Victorian design sensibilities

Stamped with the French owl hallmark and a maker’s mark to the reverse, confirming its 18K gold construction. It weighs 3.17 grams and is a UK size L½ (US 6).

      Diamond measures approximately 4 x 5 x 2 mm.

A highly original piece—bold, architectural, and steeped in late 19th century French design.
