A gorgeous antique Victorian gold ruby and diamond half hoop ring, circa 1890.

The ring is set with a line of old-cut diamonds, flanked by horizontal two rows of mixed cut rubies.

All of the stones are in open-backed rubover settings which allows light to pass through the stones and enables easy cleaning of the ring. The low profile of ring, as well as the benefits of the open-back setting, would make this an excellent addition to any collector’s jewel box and would also make a stellar antique engagement ring.

The diamonds are particularly bright and despite being around 130 years old, the ring remains in fantastic condition.

It is unmarked but tests as 18K yellow gold and weighs a total of 3.84 grams. The cluster head measures 19mm x 6mm.

Conditions: Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. All items are to be returned in their original condition and packaging. Buyer damaged items and items bought on layaway are ineligible for returns. Items over £2500 can be returned for store credit only.
