    • A striking Indian ring dating from around the 1940s, crafted in solid 18K gold and set with a natural emerald of approximately 1.5 carats. The emerald is securely held within an unusual jagged gold bezel, its deep green hue contrasting beautifully against the rich blue and green enamelwork on the shoulders.

The band is finely decorated with scrolling enamel motifs, a technique long associated with Indian jewellery craftsmanship. The emerald, while included and of low clarity, exhibits a vibrant, lush green tone, typical of stones sourced from historic mines in the region.

Stamped with a 750 hallmark indicating 18K gold, along with a maker’s mark. The ring measures UK size I (US size 4.25) and weighs 5.4 grams. The emerald itself measures 9 x 8 x 4mm.

Condition: The enamel shows minor wear commensurate with age, but remains largely intact. The emerald is securely set.

A fine example of mid-20th-century Indian jewellery, blending bold colour, intricate craftsmanship, and a striking gemstone centerpiece.
