An unusual antique signet ring set with a geometrical citrine. The ring was made in Paris and dates to the 1930’s. The citrine is carved with a monogram in reverse so that when pressed into sealing wax for letters, the engraving is displayed in positive. The thick gold band tapers towards the back and is crafted in 18K gold. Although there is some damage and chips to the edges citrine stone, it is set securely and the ring is ready to wear. The ring came as a pair, the other with a sapphire in white gold - also available separately.

The ring weighs 8.05g, the outer band is stamped with a French ’tête d’aigle’ (eagle head) control mark to indicated Paris, and a minimum fineness of 18K gold. The ring measures 10mm north to south at the front, tapering down to 2.5mm across at the very back. The rectangular face of the citrine measures 10mm x 8mm, and extends another 3mm into the triangular sides.
