The ring is set with a richly coloured rose cut garnet in a recessed cupped bezel, framed by delicately chased shoulders with scrolling engraved decoration inspired by Renaissance ornament.The garnet measures approximately 7 x 5mm and displays the deep wine-red tone associated with garnets. The softly domed rose cut catches the light with a subtle glow rather than brilliant sparkle, giving the ring a refined and distinctly historic character.The ring is unmarked but crafted in high karat gold, testing as 22K.
