A characterful antique rose-cut diamond cluster ring, made in Germany around 1900.The large circular head is pavé-set with 18 rose-cut diamonds, arranged across a gently domed silver surface. The irregular hand-cut facets give the ring a wonderfully lively appearance, almost resembling a miniature diamond-studded disco ball.Silver was traditionally favoured for diamond settings because its white surface complemented the stones, while the remainder of the ring is constructed in gold.
