    • A Victorian circular glass locket pendant, dating to circa 1880 and crafted in high-karat gold testing as 21K. Unlike conventional lockets, this example is designed as a fully transparent vessel, fitted with two faceted glass panes that allow the contents to be viewed from both sides.

The pendant opens via a discreet mechanism at the top, twisting smoothly to allow the interior to be accessed and altered. Originally intended to hold a pressed flower, photograph, miniature drawing, lock of hair, or other personal token, it represents a refined and less commonly encountered interpretation of the sentimental locket form; one that privileges visibility over concealment.

The gold mount is finely fluted and further enriched with engraved cross motifs spaced around the frame, lending subtle surface interest without overwhelming the simplicity of the design. Though unmarked, the pendant has been tested and confirms as 21K gold.

An elegant and unusual survival; intimate in intention, yet visually striking when worn.
