This ring features an early 19th-century glass intaglio seal engraved with the phrase "Répondez vite" (respond quickly), accompanied by a dove carrying a letter. Originally part of a Georgian desk seal wheel—a rotating device that allowed the sender to choose from multiple seals depending on the nature of their correspondence—this intaglio was intended to leave an impression on wax seals, urging a swift reply.

The intaglio is now set in an ornate gilt brass bezel, adorned with finely scrolled foliate decoration, including flowers, oak leaves, and grape clusters. The foiled glass intaglio exhibits an unusual and striking play of purple hues. It has been later mounted onto an 18K yellow gold band, seamlessly integrating it into a wearable piece.

The ring is a UK size R and weighs 3.0 grams. The intaglio measures 14mm x 10mm, and the band tests as solid 18K gold.

Conditions: Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. All items are to be returned in their original condition and packaging. Buyer damaged items and items bought on layaway are ineligible for returns. Items over £2500 can be returned for store credit only.
