Traditionally, the bottom of this fob pendant would have been engraved with a personal monogram or family crest to be pressed in wax and used as a personal seal for letters and important deeds. However, remarkably, this example has survived without having ever been engraved.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe pendant weighs 2.9 grams and measures 3cm x 1cm including the gold bail.
