The carver cleverly uses each of the stone’s coloured layers to highlight the foreground and background. The young Goddess is depicted leaning on an anchor looking longingly into the distance, wearing a stola draping over the shoulder.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eThe gold mount is stamped with a French import control mark to indicate a gold fineness of 9K. The ring is in good overall condition despite its significant age.
