    • A striking late 19th-century cluster ring, crafted in solid 18K gold and set with a vibrant step-cut emerald at its centre. The emerald, most likely of Colombian origin, exhibits a saturated green hue and weighs approximately 2 carats.

Surrounding the emerald is a halo of old-cut and table-cut diamonds, creating a radiant contrast. The bezel measures 12 x 9 mm, with each diamond securely set in yellow gold. Unlike most rings of this era, which often feature closed-back settings with silver foil, this example is open-backed and unfoiled, allowing light to pass through and making it easier to clean.

The shoulders are finely engraved with foliate patterns, elegantly trifurcating and tapering into a smooth band. Though unmarked, it tests as 18K gold and weighs 4.6 grams. The ring is a UK size P (US size 7.5).

Condition: Very good, with all stones securely set and only light fading to the shoulder engravings.

A beautiful antique ring, perfect as a distinctive engagement piece or a striking addition to any collection.
